    Think about it...
Why did Colonists begin to distrust the British?
How did the British respond to the growing unrest?
What role did the Sons of Liberty play in the protests?

    Homework

    1. Quote for next week: (Write your thoughts about it...When was it said? What were the circumstances? etc. The quotes should prompt essay-type writing.)

"Taxation without representation is tyranny." - James Otis

    2. Research at least one of the taxes and laws imposed on the colonists before the Revolutionary War.  Add to your notebook.  How did the colonists receive the new law? Was it fair? Why or why not. How did it affect the colonists?

    Sugar Act
    Stamp Act
    Quebec Act
    Declaratory Act
    Quartering Act
    Townsend Act
    Coercive Acts

    3.  Research your assigned position for the debate - "LOYALISTS vs. PATRIOTS".  You'll have a few minutes in class to work with your team to finalize your argument but you should do the prep work at home so the time spent can be sharing and organizing your thoughts.

    Next week

Battle of Lexington and Concord - Madi
